A Dash of Courage
Welcome to the next step in your Confidence Kickstart!
Can I ask you a deeply important question?
If you continue as you are and one day face your final moments, will you feel satisfied with the choices you made?
I invite you to watch this 4-minute video, The Dash, then return here.
The Powerful Truth
Your gravestone will display just two dates and a tiny dash between them. That dash represents your entire life.
The question is: what will your dash reflect? A life of courageous choices, or a life of untapped potential?
The Exercise
Snag some large paper to draw on (butcher paper, legal size, or two standard sheets taped together)
Draw a timeline across your page. Mark your birth date on the left (add a baby photo if you'd like!). Mark the right end however feels meaningful to represent your life's end.
Above the line: Note times you acted courageously—when you felt the fear but did it anyway—and were glad you did.
Below the line: Mark times you played small or avoided opportunities, and later regretted it.
Reflect Deeply
Look Back
What happened when you chose courage despite the fear? Did reality match your worries? How did those brave choices serve you? What did you discover about yourself?Look Ahead
Imagine your elder self reflecting on her life. What would she celebrate about the risks she took? What opportunities would she wish she'd seized? What wisdom does she have for you right now?Look Now
What opportunities are calling for your courage today? What does your elder self advise? What do you truly want? Will you honor your potential, or leave it unrealized?
Your Commitment
Courage emerges when self-love meets commitment. It's how we become our highest and best.
Are you ready to bring your best self to the world?
Ask your baby-photo self if she wants you to live fully.
Consult your elder self—what does she want for you?
Stand before a mirror and ask yourself directly.
Decide.
Commit.
You are the authority you've been waiting for. What happens when you give yourself permission to be bold?
What's Next?
If this exercise revealed insights—whether clarity about what you want or awareness of what's been holding you back—you've taken an important first step. But insight alone doesn't create change.
Lasting transformation requires support, accountability, and a partner who helps you translate awareness into action.
That's where coaching comes in. Together, we'll build on what you've discovered here, create a clear path forward, and ensure your dash reflects the courageous, fully-lived life you're meant to live.
Ready to explore what's possible? Let's talk about how coaching can help you honor your commitment to yourself.
